Reciprocal links, Not too important but how to remove?

Hi guys,

My site www.livesportstv.co.uk is doing fairly well in the ranks of google, msn and yahoo ranking first page for a lot of keywords. I believe the reason it isn't doing better is due to the number of recips I have. I'm using recip directories such as linkbuildingdirect.com and onewaytextlinks.com which I'd actually like to remove now (as I have intense link building going on). Is this possible though? will I get banned for losing so many links or not beause they no longer hold relevance in google?

if you loose so many backlinks , google will not ban you but your serp will be effected

 

It might even improve your ranking.

um not sure ..but maybe ur PR wud be affected due to less linkbacks.

 

I think if you remove means your backlinks will decrease and automatically your page rank will also decrease.
