I am sorry if this topic has been covered to death. So, my question is.. We are in the initial process of trying to increase our sites PR. We have a pretty solid index with Google and other search engines-- yet our PR is 0. I was told that this is due to us not being backlinked to any significantly high page ranked sites. Is reciprocal linking the answer with PR5+ sites the answer?
Getting natural links is the real answer. A natural link is where someone just links to your content because it is great. But yes, how they ever going to find it if I dont build links first. It depends on your niche to what I would do but i would most likely start off with the free ones and if your content is up to par then it will take care of itself. Free links meaning social networks, directories, ect.
Yes, reciprocal links with high pr sites helps to get backlinks & helps to increase the pr. But keep in mind that if that backlinks from the niche category then it is work as a quality backlinks
