Reciprocal Linking Directories

Is there any point in listing your site on a directory that requires reciprocal linking? Everything I understand about SEO says that reciprocal links pretty much cancel each other out. And you run the risk of angering the Google God's for engaging in what they might see as a kind of spammy behavior.

 

No theres no point, because theres so many others that dont require a recip, both free and paid.

 

linkmarket . net is providing these kind of free services.. But No Idea it's worth or not because I am not a seo professional just came here to learn something about seo

 

Incoming links are Good...outgoing links are a waste of time.....
There are so many directories , that you don't need the ones that what reciprocal links....
It only helps then....let them learn SEO...

 

I am used to use the reciprocal link before when i first start the blog and i am sure i love this method as i do not understand well how to do it. Just now i am sure that i would not use this kind of getting link as i will get penalize from Google as i am not specialist so i must be very becareful with it

reciprocal linking with directories is quite a waste of time. most of directories have no authority to pass through the link and you waste your link juice with the OBL.

 

I'll do a reciprocal with a directory in my niche. I would never do a reciprocal with a general directory. Google focuses on "related" links and quality web sites. If the niche directory links out to some of the top sites in the niche and also has some links in from those sites you'll benefit by being listed there even if you give a reciprocal link back.
