Just wondering what other directory owners do with these for example 1) There link page is not linked to the homepage of there website 2) There link page is a different URL with only links on them Do you accept or Reject
Rule #1 I have rejected many based on that alone. I mean, how in the hell will the SE's find my link? I'm definately not expecting end user traffic to find me, but damn, something has to. Rule #2 If my link does not reside on the same domain for which was submitted... rejected! overall for both: rejected, no questions.
I posted things about that, it kinda makes me wonder why they even try. They make this "dummy page" and it has gazzilion links and it expects you to make a reciprocal with them. Reject it. I prefer a 3 way link exchange, thats just me.
Accepting a listing in my directory I expect a fair play. The reciprocal is a must. There are no other options. There is no instant check whether the site links back or not, and some extremely advanced guys just throw their crappy url, ... and it comes they waste their time. The listing will be disqualified. For those, who make some link pages like "www.url.com/links/links2/megasuperlinks/../directories_we_are_listed_in" it is still ok. But no one will warrant that, if this page is invisible for google in a long term, the listing will be at place. So, play fairly and there won't be any problems.
