    Design wise, it's ok.
    You need progress in filling it with content. A "Recipes Database" is what you might be interested in if you want to boost your site's usability.

    i am actually working on a recipe site as well. What did you use to have peoplle upload and store recipis? was it a free recipe php script? or did you have someone design it for you from scratch?

    I use Joomla + extension for that and it does the job nicely.

    As for content - I am just getting the design done so my partner who has been a master chef can start plumping the site out.

    It looks to be a very successful venture so far

    The design is okay, what I would do is make your drop shadows lighter and maybe add some sort of bevel effect on your beta shape.

    Nice colors btw ;)
