Google just laid off 100 recruiters while announcing the closure of a few satellite engineering offices. And few of those 70 engineers, will be laid due to relocation issue. Hmm, what you think? If this trend continue on, don't you think even Google may cut out our earnings? I found it of this: Just copy to your browser, topofthebest.blogspot.com/2009/01/recession-plague-hits-google-seagate.html
hmmmm old news... they closed a few and relocated others a few months ago unless these are new layoffs Live Link http://topofthebest.blogspot.com/2009/01/recession-plague-hits-google-seagate.html Quote: Now another three industry giants are looking to cuts their operating costs, Google just laid off 100 recruiters while announcing the closure of a few satellite engineering offices. So whats next? GOV bailout? laterz malcolm
Cutting operation cost sometimes doesn't mean the company is in trouble. We've also heard news about Citibank is to retrench around 50k of their workers around the world. Actually, they have already fired a lot of non-performing staff earlier.
they are already cutting our earning. You can see that more and more webmaster are looking for an alternative on Adsense.
I never thought the recession could hurt google. In fact, I expected (wrongly, it seems) that the recession would BENEFIT google. People are holding tight to their money and are staying at home... surfing the internet. Google is probably the biggest company banking on people's internet habits and with the spike in internet usage these days, thus I was expecting it could benefit Google. Oh well, seems nobody is an exception to this recession.
Why wouldn't it effect Google? remember they make large revenue off Adsense/Adwords. If nobodies got any money or going bust they're not going to advertise, less competition = less money for Google.
Recession seriously affected our adsense earnings !! ..But I never thought it would hurt Google . Then why they purchased two three war planes during these days ??
They are financially ok, but not like 1-2 years ago when there stock was way up I dont think that theres any company whom hasnt been trying to cut corners trying to make ends meet laterz malcolm
