Recently Wikipedia links have been redirecting me to a Spam Site

Recently For some reason, i'm doing a google search and click on a real wikipedia link which redirects me to 60minutepayday.com which is obviously a worthless spam site. one of the ones that make you click on 4 fu**ing boxes before you exit the page.

Is this a google thing or a possible virus on my computer that for some reason only makes this happen with wikipedia pages?

I have kapersky anti virus running all the time and recently did a scan and it doesn't seem to be a virus. i dunno...

just wandering if anyone else has experienced this with the mentioned website.

Wikipedia has a high PR,everybody wants to add their websites into, but it is very difficult to be approved.
Certainly, somebody writes some content pages in their websites that are related to some entries of Wikipedia, it is possible to add these content pages' links into Wikipedia.

There's more spam for sure, lots of new users and scammers as well.

Wikipedia links work fine for me I think you may have spyware.

Well it looks like spyware, and is this you?
    http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20100111224941AADPqUC
    Code (markup):
If it's not you, then at least 1 other person is having that problem. Post an example of a wiki article and we can see - if you experience this on every wikipedia page then it's definitely something on your computer. Try
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Purple
    Code (markup):
click on a link there if it redirects then you have spyware for sure.

wikipedia links works fine for me, guess it's an adware on your own computer ;)

have to say tho, the idea is smart.. wikipedia is all over the serp's and redirecting those clicks to anyone site is just great ;)

am sorry about you for sure, and hope you'll get rid of this spyware soon enough.. try updating kaspersky database it might fix the problem.

I'm having the same problem. First i noticed it in the firefox search bar, but today i got it in a wikipedia link on a google search page. I have zonealarm internet suite set to scan for spyware every night, but i have tried scanning directly after I got the 60minutepayday link and it didn't seem to help. One thing that worked was going into the drop down menu in the search toolbar and choosing "manage search engines" then hitting the "restore defaults" button. But now the "restore defaults" button is grayed out. I looked for a place to report it to wikipedia but didn't find any place to do that. I'm not the one who put the question on yahoo either.

I checked my windows hosts file. Nothing special there. I think some adware program must change the wikipedia link on the firefox search toolbar and then change something in the toolbar code to prohibit fixing the problem.

I have the same exact issue under Win XP, Firefox 3.5.7. 10% of google search links pointing to Wiki sites redirect to 60minutepaydayloan.com

SpyBot and Norton AV find nothing wrong.
