I am thinking about converting my website to YPN rather than adsense to make some more money, and I am wondering if they are just "auditing" larger sites with xx,xxx balances or anything, and am hoping to find a guideline to what I can try to pump my YPN account a month without getting it terminated. Any input would be appreciated. Also if your still using YPN and getting regular payouts, about how big are they?? Thnx!
there is no earnings cap regarding terminated or audited accounts. people are being terminated who make 100 per month and people who are making xx,xxx per month are also being terminated. likewise, the opposite is true and all levels of publishers are still in the network. terminations are happening due to "low conversion" for ypn advertisers. of course, this is impossible for us to track and adjust for, however, ypn has some way of determining who they want in and out of the program, regardless of revenue generated per month. i personally believe that the "low conversion" excuse is just a generalized way of saying, get out. every so often the reason changes, but the end is just the same. and, not to make an assumption on your sites, ypn has come down hard on arcade / entertainment sites and myspace sites as well as a variety of others that "misuse" the category targetting options to get "higher" paying ads. as with any beta program, you are the mouse hunting for the cheese and they are the ones running the labrynth. also, if you dont already have a ypn account or invite, you will likely not get one either. they are far and few between and ypn is keeping a keen eye on who is signing up with the invites they do send out. you could try and buy one, though your account would probuably get terminated within a month if the actual sale wasnt a scam to begin with. as always, you can search the forums to hear the horror stories regarding invites, auditing accounts, terminated publishers and the ramblings of a few mad men that cant seem to let go. i for one, would not put all my eggs into this basket as the bottom seems to be made out of paper and many publishers are falling through. good luck and, as always, jmo.
thanks for your input, i already have the invite...but haven't set it up...and it's an arcade site? how long do you think the account would last?
big guys still making bank i know guys pulling in 400k /month. yahoo usually pays after termination is u have over 50k im geting paid
Keep in mind if your traffic is garbage from myspace or etc. you wont last long. Yahoo has to keep the advertisers happy and if your visitors aren't converting don't be surprised if you're asked to leave. No one hates you, they just hate your traffic. Also, keep in mind that this is business. Don't act like a victim if you're banned.
