This is mainly directed at other UK members as i'm not sure what the weather is like overseas. But I was wondering how all of you are coping with the recent hot weather we've been getting. I have 2 large fans in my room and still find my computer occasionally overheating. It's also terrible trying to sleep at night. A heatwave is also predicted next week in the UK. Roll on the winter!
Same thing here, in the Netherlands. Can't keep it cool anymore and my pc is overheated everyday. (You know, one of those pc alarms that decide to go off once its reached a certain temperate). Then again, Im sure some of the heat in the house is actually caused by my pc's. lol. I like warm weather, but this is a bit too much. I feel like having a shower every hour.
More Dutchies, nice! Welkom Linda, hadn'tg seen you here before. Back on topics: my Powerbook (not Intel so I can't fry any eggs on it) is doing well, 30 Celsius right now. The office isn't that great, no aircon and brick wall which tends to slowly heat up and release warmth until late in the evening making it a sticky and sweaty place to be. My new place isn't much better, under a black-ish roof. Then again, Brits (I'm Dutch) are always complaining aren't they. And when it's too hot, everything breaks. When it rains too hard, everything breaks. When it snows, everything breaks and people start rationing. It's a weird place to live in that regard. Oh and welcome to you too Jacob.
Yeah I guess we do complain alot. But then again; i'm not your stereotypical complainer, not much bothers me. I just can't stand the heat. It gets me agitated and uncomfortable. Which makes me complain. Thanks for the welcome!
Adopt the Caribbean style and chill out instead. Seems to work for them. And keep your fluids up, water does wonders.
Vegas is a nasty place to be when it's hot and dry. When I was there I got electric discharges at every casino entrances. And not just your average little shock, I could see the sparks going from the door to my hand, it was actually rather traumatizing. Had a good time though
No, more like November but it hardly ever gets sub-0 here int he South. Snow is rare as well, the sea/ocean keeps us warm.
It's never really cold here in the winter. Around 5-10degrees. Which is fine for me. It's easy to get warm when cold, but it's hard to get cold when warm.
LOL that is so true... even at homes the little screws above light switches will light you up or the corners since they are rounded the have metal in them... o my house is house2.0 it has rounded corners
