Who are those "many reputable names"? And what is the change reported, are they saying "Google traffic is declining"? Please name a few and post relevant links. Without more information, replying to your survey would seem like a waste of time.

I am suspicious of the logic of your post because it jumbles together traffic, rankings, crawl rate and indexing on one post. The survey makes no sense. Think about it: a decline in the rankings experienced by any number of websites has to be matched by a corresponding increase in rankings experienced by the same number of websites (otherwise the top SERPs would be left empty).

If your pages have been dropping from the Google index, the most common reason for that are duplicate content and poor website quality.

I'm working on a number of UK targeted sites across a number of verticals, including business finance, the environmnent, and cookery, and I'm not seeing any of those things.
Search traffic has been steadily increasing, likewse keyword rankings, no problems with indexing - and I've not heard or read about about anyone having specific problems.
I agree entirely with Philipseo - it sounds like the same old same old to me - some sites are doing well, some not so well. No change there.

    welcome to DP forums gorgwatcher.
See you did the same post as your intro over at WMW as well.

Looking forward to your 2nd post about how to overcome the drop in traffic but hope it is not an e-book.

I totally agree. If you're not continually adding fresh content and creating new quality back links, your site will drop in the Google ranks.

IMO google gives more weight to new links now so it doesnt count(as it used to be) if you had good links from the past but new fresh links are more critical factor.
