First of all, after you get a decent traffic you should transfer it to a .com domain

Use social networks to promote your site. Sites like Twitter, Facebook, StumbleUpon, Digg and other will do that.

social bookmark alone won't change much. i suggest you to consider article submission and forum posting.

    Some tips:

    1. Looks like you are building a voice for yourself, which means your site will need people to want to come back and immerse themselves in your personality. You have to interact with your readers more. Put up polls, give out prizes, ask them about their thoughts.

    2. Ads. Too many ads scare people away, especially when there are no comments (ie: Doesn't look like anyone is paying your site attention). Ads between videos and ads near the footer of a long-scrolling page is confusing the reader. Blog first, ad the ads when you build a base ( at least 4,000-8000 per day ).

    3. Article submission (like the guy said above). Submit your articles to other sites. Hell, guest blog on other sites if you can.

    4. Social Networking with Perks. Try to get people involved with your site. Prizes, and gimmicks.

That is about it, other than some SEO stuff you should be aware of.
