I posted a similar message few months back in this section and got some good help from admins but the problem did not solved and my recent blog post link is still not working.

I sent a PM [today] to an Admin of DP and he suggested to open a thread here so that is why I am making another thread about this issue.

Few months back, I noticed that my link in the recent blog post,is not working. I tried different URLs, all to wordpress blogs, but none of them worked.

Recent blog post was working just fine for 1+ year, then it disappeared and I changed nothing in my site or at DP.

Current rss feed that I am using is:

    http://www.a1newspapers.com/blog/feed/rss/

I will be really glad if some admin can help me with this.

    Thank You

Your blog feed is missing the <generator> tag for some reason so the system doesn't know what type of feed it is. Are you using a stock WordPress blog?

Until you figure out what's wrong with your WP feed, you can just try feedburner. It should work for you

Thank You Shawn for your reply.

I never thought that the generator tag will be the reason for this problem. Actually, I removed this tag from the feeds of all my sites because I saw somewhere a Wordpress security tip about hiding our WordPress version. The generator tag show the version so I thought I should remove it from all pages.

Shawn, if I include the generator tag without the version of WordPress, then will the system recognize the feed?

    Thank You for your help

Yeah, as long as it has the normal tag in it, it doesn't care (or read) the version of it.

    Thank You Shawn.

I will now add the generator tag. This is a simple solution: yet I was unable to find it for months until you helped. Thank you once again.
