Has anyone received payments of more than $500 at a time (single payment) in their personal Paypal account without any problem?. If yes, what is the max. amount you have received safely ?
I also have a business account , but I end up paying more than 8% transaction charges to Paypal if I use it

For mass pay , does the sender have to pay any additional fee?

i think you'll get limited in the personal account with that huge amount since they have a low limit of 2000$ something like that for a whole year

I received close to $2000 via Mass Pay to my personal account and I did not face any problem there. I did ask paypal and they say there is no limits. The sender just pays $1 per transaction or something.

However if the incoming money is not from Mass Pay then you should be careful since you are not allowed to sell anything using a personal account and thus should not be expected to receive some huge money.

Under your contractual agreement, you cannot request for non-credit card payments to go to your personal account and credit card ones to go to your premier/business account. This is very much against your agreement with paypal.
