I am supposed to be receiving money from a client in USA directly to my HDFC account in India. I called up the HDFC customer care and they have given me the swift code CHASUS33 for JP Morgan chase New York. However, the money is going to come from south carolina. How does this all work ? Do i give the client the swift code ? What other details am i supposed to give him ? How does JP Morgan know which bank to send the money to ? How does the bank know which account to send the money to ? Would really appreciate some help here.
