Hello, I was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction here. My site receives anywhere from 15 to 20 UV's per day, but I may only get 1 to 2 clicks per week. I have worked on my ads before, I have one ad per page at the top center on each page. I have also blended the colors to match my font color. Any advice would be appreciated. www.philscomputerrepair.com
I think you need lot more UV's and pages views to earn more clicks. Ad placement and blending is also important but you must work on the traffic.
My advice is take down the ads 1st. Build up your traffic to at least 100 uv, then put it back on. Focus on traffic!! dont't be distracted checking peanuts all the time.
content and content , you must add more articles to your website first and then you think about earning .
At first I thought you ment 15 to 20 K per day. Two clicks a week would be horrible, but for only 15 to 20 unique visits a day, this sounds right. Remember this: Traffic = $$$
I guess people not finding any information on your home page. Just watch your analytic report. Where they come from? how long they are in your website? Which page they are leaving your website? Then You can concentrate adsense in the page which they visit first. Also where you are getting those 10-15 visitors?
Your site traffic is too little for now and the best thing you can do is improve on your traffic and then think about how much clicks you got. You should also think about the average CTR is around 5 to 10 percent. Thanks JulieV
With low traffic it's really hard to get any kind of good idea what ad formats will work best for your visitors. That said, I do have some recommendations for your site: 1. You have a lot of blank space in your header. This takes up valuable real estate and causes your visitors to have to scroll every time they want to read page content. Shrink your header area down to around 100px in height and try a right-justified banner in that location. 2. Link units have worked very well for my sites, provided they're placed right. A link unit placed directly below your header might work well for you. 3. On several pages, you're using a left-aligned list of links that would be much better presented in a horizontal three columned tabular format. You're wasting an enormous amount of page space here, and missing an opportunity to blend link units or small ad blocks in with your content. If you'd like any additional advice, feel free to PM me. I don't charge anything for advice, btw. I enjoy helping people get started on the right track. Good luck .
I've found with technical niches people dont tend to click on the ads. I think these kind of people are more savvy and wont be tempted by the ads. But if you get more traffic you should get some clicks. Build a few quality backlinks.
