I just was notified that I received and infraction for the following reason "bumping thread."

It was in this thread: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?p=10784838#post10784838

How was I bumping a thread when I didn't create the thread? Also, I was replying to the thread telling the person that I had sent them a PM. My reply read: "I have sent you a PM. Please let me know if you are interested."

If you read the person's post, it specifically says to POST IN THE THREAD NOTIFYING HIM THAT YOU HAVE SENT HIM A MESSAGE. Why in the world would I be punished for trying to do business with this person? I know it says to not start threads to complain about receiving an infraction but c'mon, this is absurd. I was following the directions of the person with whom I was trying to do business with and why would it be considered bumping a thread if I didn't even make it?

You are lucky that you have only got infraction for that  Otherwise check below given.

7 Day Bans Are Here In Buy Sell Trade Forums!

OP of that thread also got infraction or something like that which encourage others to post in that thread with reply IMO as if someone sent PM to him then no need to post that "PM Sent" etc. in that thread.

    DON.

I didn't tell them I was interested or any of the similar terms. I informed him that I had sent him a PM which clearly does not fall under "inappropriate comments" as I have seen done in nearly every single thread I have looked at on this forum.

Read the bumping sticky in buy, sell, trade. PM sent type posts are always subject to infractions.
