Hello, I hope I am posting this in the right section. I received an offer from someone to write a key word enriched article for my site. No cost to me only exchange is author bio and a few links to the other site. I would have final approval of course of the article. Seem their site has a lot of legitimate affiliates. Has anyone ever received an offer like this? accepted it and how was the outcome? any suggestion would be appreciated. Thanks!
Niche, length ? Though, I would write it for myself ( not for someone else ) - you can never be sure about what you'll get.
Not fishy at all... Obviously check the article, make sure it is accurate, well written and not copied from anywhere. Assuming you are willing to give the author a link back, this could work well for both parties.
Doesn't sound fishy at all - it's one of the basis for 'guest bloggers'. I agree with dlm - could work out well for both of you.
This is one of the main reasons that people write articles and submit them to places like EZA. They want other people to pick up their articles and publish them as long as they leave the author bio box intact. So basically the person who is approaching you is doing the same thing except they are being more proactive by searching out sites to publish their articles. I would run it through copyscape and if it comes back clean and you are looking for content then theres your answer. I would rather write my own article so I am not offering my visitors a chance to leave my site and visit someone elses site.

Id depends on what you wish for and what where the links are going. I'd be wary of links to casino/gambling sites - most likely the author is no more than just attempting to gain signup's and thus fees. Ditto for any links to membership sites that require a signup/registration/membership fee. Remember also that outgoing links from your webpage dilute the PR effectiveness of that page. Finally consider what your own visitors will think of the links.
I received an offer like this one some time ago. Deleted the email before I even finished reading it. Why? Most of those "content writers" simply rewrite ezinearticles or other content and do not add any value to the content of your site. Cheers.
