Received call from my bank HDFC about the "purpose of the money" withdrawn.

    well at the time there was no rule of these purpose code thing but since it was going to be implemented bank was curious to know

    no it will not happen with paypal coz we already have to enter purpose code on withdrawal time so bank never ask on call about purpose code.

    its just a securuity process, if the money is for illegal purpose they would have provided a fake mobile no. so just to check authanticity of mobile no. they called you.

    So it seems we must have invoices for all the transaction we are making online. Yeah its better to avoid delays and further problems. But I think as with withdrawals with paypal they ask purpose code banks will not be calling us asking that. I'm still waiting for paypal to resolve my issues to get the withdrawal option at my pp account.
