The email says like this : I logged to my paypal account and see no problem, all fine , like before . Why is that address with an IP ? Should I worry about it ?
Keep one thing in your mind that paypal never use term like "Dear PayPal customer" they always use term like "Dear Your Name". Also always make one habit to login to your account using new browser (never click any link given in any email). DON.
Yea , I logged in a new tab on www.paypal.com , I don't trust addresses that start with an IP ... or that kind . So I forward that mail to ? For what?
Forwarding to enable Paypal to know and take action for the phishing web site to be shut down so that others wouldn't be the victims.
Its a phishing mail. Don't worry, Just ignore it and make sure you always login to your paypal A/c with a new window. Also, Forward this mail to
They can fake the email as coming from anywhere by just changing the reply to column, more advanced spamming software can even do so automatically.
I remember my initial time when i got such an email and i lost my paypal account, but now i am safe. I think site like senditfake.com are used for such type of emails, one of my friend used senditfake.com (I don't know if it is still working or not )site for just making fun with his other friends, like once he did with me.So always check your emails, and its wordings. Thanks
Create an email account for your dog and I can assure you that it will also receive the phishing spam.
I'm happy that you didn't click that link. Its a sign of scam. If ever that's paypal, why would they hell put an IP on the address? Its really obvious that its not PayPal. And I agree, PayPal would never write "Dear PayPal Customer" but instead its written with your name. |Robert|
