Read below for our story This is a website I created that is dedicated to getting my medical bills paid off. The cost of health insurance through Cobra for my husband and I is $1700 a month. Therefore we made the decision to go without health care. I broke my foot one year ago (while covered on insurance) and I received treatment for it before I was taken off of my parents health insurance because apparently something that had happened in the past was "pre-existing." Therefore all payment regarding my broken foot was reversed and thus I was stuck with the bill. Anyhow, I married recently and shortly thereafter became pregnant. On Christmas day, I miscarried and was taken by ambulance to the hospital where I was treated. I had no health insurance so I picked up that cost. My husband and I now owe 19000 in medical bills and have very little resources in which to pay them as we live in the old US steel neighborhoods. You don't have to donate to us or anything, but I have created a blog in which I am tracking my progress in getting my bills paid off.
