Reccomended domain registration place

Just wondering what little known domain registration secrets you can share. What places let you register cheaply and quickly without having to buy anything else (like hosting) or waste time. I saw .us domains available for 2.99 one place?
Also what site manages them well?

or is there a place where people sell their unwanted domains, but it's easier than using posting, PMs, bids, etc? Just wondering...

I'm not sure about rest but 'Namecheap' & 'Godaddy' are well known domain registrars and you don't have to purchase anything else.

YOu could check 'domains' Section of Digital Point forums , people often buy/sell their domains.

I would highly recommend going with the common registrars such as Godaddy. They are reliable and easy to use, and if you can't pay $9.00 per year, then you should probably be working on your budget and not a site. ;)

i do with Godaddy and never have any problem. I think you better focus on the quality of registrar and their customer service more than the price. orelse you will end up registered your site with the troublesome registar. I heard about those compliants before but it's you who decide anyway.

Godaddy has a lot of checkout offers, but if all you want is domain names you can just press the "no thanks" button a few times and skip it, it only wastes a few seconds of time.. so your question about saving time probably actually took mor etime then it will take to skip these extra steps.

As for cheap places, like free domains or domains that are sold 3x cheaper than what the registrar itself pays, expect these to come with a catch, such as a mandatory signup for hosting for a year, or the requirement of purchasing another product, etc.

namecheap is the best place for domain registrations as well as namepros.com where you can earn enough points called np$ and exchange them for free domain names.

People have different registrars as their favourites. GoDaddy and Namecheap are probably the two you should consider, simply because every member on this forum probably has an account on either of the two. Transferring the domain therefore becomes very easy. Namecheap is a bit costly, but they do offer excellent service

I use godaddy with a coupon. Just search "godaddy coupon" in google and you will find a bunch. Kind of annoying with all the junk they try to sell you in process but it's easy to just skip all that.

I use namecheap.com. Don't have much of a problem with them. Though if you try to renew your domain on the day it expires(but before it's expiring time) the domain won't appear in your domain list. So after you renew, you will have to contact them to readd it to your domain list.

I would only use godaddy or namecheap. Make sure to use a coupon.
