Reccomended Ad Network for my Entertainment Site

Discussion in 'Pay Per Click Advertising' started by Bakie, Jun 4, 2007.

Currently im using Google Adsense on my Entertainment site www.SpudMud.com .

My site is recieving about 50 UV a day with 800 Page Views a day and im currently making about $0.20 a day from 2-10 clicks a day. Im just wondering if there is a better network out there than Adsense because the payment seems a bit low for the image ads. I would prefer one that has only Image/Interactive ads becuase people dont really click on the text ads for me.

I'm currently trying AuctionAds. I have only set it up today, but it seems that some people are earning a little more than what they would earn with Adsense.

There are also others that are earning less. But then that's because it's just like any other program where it will work for some and not for others.

I was gonna give AuctionAds a go but decided not to because the main people who use my site are not really interested in those ads because most of the people are at school so I want interactive/picture ads because thats what I think they will click on.

    AuctionAds is PPA right?
yeah they wouldn't work very well on an arcade.
pretty much the only place you'll get interactive ads is google or cpm networks.
you need a bit more traffic to think about any cpm network.

you can increase the amount you make on adsense.
add a text unit.lower ctr,but higher ppc.on your amount of traffic, a dollar + click can happed.
link unit, over all higher ppc.i got a 95 cent click the other day.

As well as adengage sites like adbrite or bidvertiser may work well for you. Really its mainly down to trial and error seeing which ones work best for you but there always is Adsung to give a go too :D

Since everyone is plugging their networks I will too...

    www.AdToll.com launches 18th June - that's now less than 2 weeks!

We are an ad management network that allows webmasters to sell ads on their site and make money. We provide the whole backend solution etc...

I gave up on adengage because I was accepted by valueclick so decided to go with valueclick because they serve the ads that im looking for.

So far its been a good experience with them, their admin panel is very good because you can choose the exact ads you want shown and they tell you each ones CPM and CPC.

In their TOS it says that you need 3000 hits a month which is extreamly easy to do so almost any site has enougth traffic. Im probably going to get about 20,000-30,000+ hits this month so am "just" within the limits :p

Well okay, then i shouldn't have a problem either. I had around 20000 unique visitors and 25000 hits last month. And around 3000 this month (where i haven't really promoted or updated my site so much).

I have just applied, now i just hope i will get accepted :).

How much do they paid on average pr 1000 impression?

It depends on which ads you display. They vary from £3.16 to £0.03 but you can choose which ones to show and there are more added daily.
Im getting an average of about £0.20 eCPM which I am quite pleased about and I havent played around with which ads to show ads yet.
With adsense I was getting $0.30 CPM so £0.20 (~$0.40) is quite a bit nicer considering I havent done any tweaing yet.

Okay that sounds pretty nice :).
I've just got accepted (damn that was fast :D), but i have a problem as you have to goto the link, they specify in the mail, to activate my account. But when er go to that page it just times out. Very weird :s.
