Hello folks - many of guys want to know how to generate sales with Clickbank. And some newbies have struggle with direct linking but have yet to make a dime. I'd like to share with you why creating a squeeze page or a site where you can capture their email is necessary. 1) They may be using the computer at public places - like surfing the web at a public library or school/college. Many do not want to use their credit card on a public computer. Therefore, by finding a way to capture their email, you can follow up and persuade them to buy later. 2) They're not convinced of the value - even if they click on your website and found it interesting, they may not be convince the product is good yet. So, getting their email and following up with them, they might be convince of the value. This is where you can offer bonuses to get them to buy the product...and persuade them more of the benefits. 3) They do not have the budget yet - even if they're interested in buying something, they may wait later (sometimes with a few weeks) before they have enough money to buy it. Some folks did not buy from me after the 10th email! 4) They may not find it urgent yet - even if they find interest and have money, they may not want to buy the product right. Why? They assume the product will eventually be there and may shop around. Well, by following up with an email letting them know the price will raise or you'll giving away limited discounts/bonuses, it creates urgency and scarcity. With an email list, you can even ask your subscribers why didn't they buy the product. 5) Cross promotion and recurring sales - why direct link and make a one-time sales? Why not build a relationship with your list and promote supplemental products? If they bought a gaming guide from you, why not promote a CPA gaming offer to your list? Why not even recommend more gaming products through other affiliate networks? Many promote CB products like CPA products (Cost per lead), where you can get paid per email/zip submit. However, CPS (cost per sales) are harder since people only buy based on perceived value. So, you want to grab them before they run away. There are folks on my list who didn't buy an affiliate product from me until being on my list for two months!
Great info, totally agree. My income is very heavily generated from my list. My top affiliates are ALL email marketers - without exception. And not just top by a little bit, but an email marketing affiliate with a big list will generate 10-20x even a decent article marketing affiliate. For me there are 2 main reasons I would say to someone to start email marketing: That the people who join your list are "better prospects" than just a visitor from an article. Someone who gives their email address to receive some extra information is much more likely to be a buyer, they are giving you permissio to follow up with them - they want to learn about your product and they want. You can give them that info to tip them over towards the sale, handle their objections etc. Also you have them for LIFE - they might become repeat customers - you don't have to keep submitting articles for fresh prospects, you have very interested, repeat buyers, who you can send to your sites and to relevant offers over and over again. Someone visiting your site from an article on EZ articles is curious, maybe interested to learn more, but if theyre not ready to part with their cash (on impulse) after seeing your sales page and you don't have an opt-in then sadly you will probably lose them forever. If you have a list then you can follow them up and send them the 3, or 7 points of contact / information that people need before they buy. You can turn someone who is interested and would like to know more into a buyer. If any of my close friends of family were to ask for my advice then email marketing is the one thing I would really stress to them, yes article marketing, blogging, design, keyword research etc are important - imo these areas are like your learning ground - once you know the basics then make sure you are moving towards using these skills to build lists. List building is a much more productive use of your time and will grow into a real business. If you build a list and stop working tomorrow then you can come back to your list in a few weeks and send an email out (or hopefully have some emails in your autoresponder sequence anyway), but if you stop submitting articles tomorrow then your traffic will really drop within a couple of weeks - you will have to come back and start building up again.
