reasons why google is the best search engine....

some time back when in my old computer, with the dialup internet, where bandwidth was very less.........google.com opened at a lightning speed, that was the reason why i used it for searching the internet, on the other hand i if i try yahoo.com and msn, they were very slow, as the page google.com has nothing except the search bar, and yahoo and msn has everyting on there page, which is why they take time to open............

as of now, live.com is probably the best search engine i feel, though i still search on google............

Oddly enough, back when I used to use dial-up - Lycos seemed to perform the best for me and I stuck with it for sometime. However, since I upgraded my connection a few years back I've been loyal to the big G. :D

High speed is just 1 reason why I use google.

I dont know if google is the best... it depends. there are moments when i cant find what i'm looking by using google , but by yahoo and reverse. Allso i like most yahoo sponsored results than google ones. They are more relevant to the search term.

As far as I'm aware live.com is the same as msn.com. Live is most certainly owned by Microsoft :)

sometimes I use G. But for few occasions Live can get the better results compared to G. So I normally stick on G, Live.

All good things come to an end?

I think Live.com is making huge in-roads into google's success. Yahoo is already shamelessly copying everything google is doing also. It's not long till all the big three are equal in terms of offerings. Then it will be down to user preference.

Although live.com is same as msn.com, it seems they have improved their algorithms and I find their results comparatively better these days. I think its going to give tough competition to Google in coming days

hard to see how yahoo, msn can equal Google soon.
Google has far more creative/ innovative DNA in its people than the others so it will be first mover while the others will just play catch up. Yahoo & MSN are too entrenched in their ways/habits. One way they can beat Google may be to start up small startups to come up with revolutionary search methods or join up with guys like Wikipedia.
    :p

There are a few articles last year about an interview with Bill Gates. He seems to be enjoying the competition with Google more than the competition with Apple. I guess he's got something planned?

I only fear the worst, 5 years from now all MS Window users will be using MS Windows Live - an online replica of their beloved OS. Oh the horror!

I agree, MSN and Yahoo won't beat Google but a small startup could! Many dream of outcompeting Google but so far there's not much on the horizon.

Is this a joke? after the increasing number of junk results from Adsense farms, I doubt it.

However there is a hope... still: www.google.com/contact/spamreport.html
