Reasons for clicks not converting

I'm having trouble with two specific campaigns and they have yet to convert, although all the others are converting.

What are some common reasons for clicks not converting?

I've checked to make sure it's linking to the right page, that the keywords are targetted to the products. I don't think it can be the conversion tracking because it's working for the other campaigns. There has been over 800 clicks, I'm not sure why this could be? I would appreciate if people could share their stories of non-converting campaigns, their solutions, reasons, etc.

    Thanks :)

How long have you had the campaign running? Maybe this product has a very long buying cycle. Could be you are attracting the wrong traffic. Do you have Google Analytics installed? It should tell you what your traffic is doing. There is something onsite that is the problem. Problem with the product itself, trust or comfort issues - or site usability issues (especially in checkout). Analytics will tell you where the hang ups are and you can use Googles Website Optimizer to test to get better results.

I really appreciate your reply and tips (rep has been added), It's been running for a couple weeks. I don't believe it's anything to do with the site because of the results from the other campaigns. What do you mean by a very long buying cycle?

    Thanks :)

sometimes, more expensive products (a relative term) take longer for the cutomer to buy. The customer has to go to the site again and again and do plenty of research before they will make the purchase. Hence - longer buying cycle.
