Hello DPer's, I'm looking for an SEO/Marketing expert to help drive traffic to my site. My company manufacturers and sells a physical product in the outdoors market. My product is somewhat unique in this space so it's not like selling books to a blind man. The site is built upon the Magento platform and the domain is well aged and onpage seo (meta tags, etc.) is in place. I need an *experienced* seo/sem expert to help me increase targeted visitors to my site. I have identified 3 keywords/phrases that have medium competition but sufficent global searches. One thing, if English isn't your native language, I will need to approve any comments/articles/posts that you will use on our behalf. I'm sorry, but any written communication must be written with proper sentence structure and a native style. What I don't want is a bunch of social posts/links from just random sites. I'm more concerned with niche related links that are built a little slower than I am with a large quantity of links. I'm on a budget, so I can write articles, forum post, etc. to cut costs. Contact me with your questions and price/packages. Thanks!

http://www.floridaseoservice.com/ I was about to output a mile long diatribe about this shit hole when I remembered you have someone local who knows what to do with said content. I would hit up someone you can actually see and or call in person. N.
Interesting comment Nigel..I'm rather new at SEO, why would I need to speak to someone in person or on the phone? My site is ecommerce, so people purchase from me all of the time and I never speak to them. I'm wondering if there really is a benefit to having someone local.
If you go through all of Nigel's posts here in DP, they are all very "INTERESTING", and I have seen a lot of people bash him too; including me... Either way, most people would rather have a local client that they could meet in person, or talk on the phone with. Some just feel safer that way I guess. A lot of times its easier to work with them as well. Otherwise, you can do whatever you want of course. Anyway, send those guys over at FloridaSEOService.com an email or live chat and see what they have to offer. I can see that they have a very nice Portfolio, so they may have the backbone, experience and techniques to produce the results you want. J
Thanks GuruCreation...Well, this has been a very interesting journey so far..I've had people PM me that they can guarantee me top 5 or 10 position in Google without even seeing my site or the keywords that I wish to rank for. I suspect the guarantee only works for keywords such as 'auto insuance blue chevy van' and not keywords like 'car insurance' or the like. At first the thought of a guarantee before even seeing my site seemed ridiculous, however, one provider had a thread running where he did take on some tough keywords and provided a refund when he couldn't deliver on the guarantee. Is the thought of a guarantee ridiculous? Also, the amounts quoted are all over the place. A few have quoted $250 - $400 (with a couple guarantees) and some quoted $2K-$3K. How can there be such a wide variation on the prices? Is it crazy to think that someone can deliver whitehat techniques and not get banned by Google for $400? Are the guys who are quoting $2K-$3K just using the guys who are quoting $250-$400 and keeping the remainder for themselves? I had one guy say just order 10 $5 gigs on a site that charges $5 per gig (don't know if I can say the name of the site) and you'll be in the same position? And what about the time it takes to perform SEO? A lot of the providers are saying one month and some are saying as much as 6 months? How can some providers get it done in one month and it takes some six months? And what happened to good ole link building from niche related sites? Has that been replaced with social bookmarking and the like? Is the social bookmarking just a fad or has it really replaced solid linkbuilding? My thoughts were always to just find related niches and exchange links? For instance, if you are in real estate, find ranking sites in title insurance, home insurance, home inspections, etc. and exchange some links? Are the days of good ole solid linkbuilding gone? The more I learn the harder it is to tell what's legitimate and whats a scam... Anyone want to try and help?
Curiously you discovered the issue. It really depends on the site and what needs doing but 400 monthly is not necessarily a terrible jumping off point. typically, around here at least there is no real SEO by my definition. That is why I mentioned my colleague. Without complicating the issue he will essentially deal with content distribution which not only serves to generate backlinks but helps with brand awareness as well. Its pretty hard to mess that up. I have been trying to take things a bit less seriously lately. Somethings are frankly just easy to deal with. If you want to post a link to the site I can tell you exactly what you need to do and why so you can make a better informed decision. Guru can likely tackle this without issue. hope that helps, Nigel
