Lame thread # 465 started today.

    Thank you, Indian!

I know seeing all of these people being banned might make you nervous. But rest assured that we don't just ban people for no reason. You have to try pretty hard- IMO.

When I said "I" in that post did not actually mean "I" really think that way. I was referring to someone who might not really know whats right or wrong here. IMO not everyone does a bad deed knowingly...right? I guess I know the rules here and thats the reason I am not yet banned here :) I am sure alot of people pm the mods or ask them why Mr. XYZ was banned. The purpose of this thread was not to say someone is right or wrong but is just a suggestion which I feel is worthy but you might not.

    Good point Shawn.

One question about my defualt introduction post is it spam for writing a thing like this to whoever introduces themself new on the introduction section ?

If it is i never got a warning about this I just do this so that people would have a influence on reading the faq.

That's when and why we give them an infraction as a reminder of what not to do. So basically, all bans can be summarized as: "Consistently failing to respect the rules." because it took in most cases more than 1 offense to get banned.

Thanx for that explanation. This really is what I was expecting and should have said long time ago. IN other words...Maximum no. of people are banned here due to infractions so theres no real need to tell people as to why a particular person was banned cos giving the same reason for 9 out of 10 banned people actually makes no sense....thanx again :)

Something tells me a list like that here would be really long!!!!! Most people probably wouldn't even look at it, but the few that did MIGHT think twice about doing anything listed on the page!! :D

It is trivially easy not to get banned from Digital Point. I don't even think about it and I don't get banned. Some people make it out like managing the line of the DP Policia is somehow a huge tribulation. It is not. It is very basic common sense for the most part.

If you get banned from Digital Point, you are likely broken.

    What??
We all know that You guys do it just for fun..

Now on the serious note -

There is only one reason of anyone being banned, i.e. -
Serious Violation of forum rules. Nothing more nothing less...
Stick with the rules, and you will be happy and fine..

More interesting would be a chart of people who have been banned more than once, a list of serial banees if you will :p .

A boobie prize could be forced upon the person who tops the chart.

What would you reward somebody for doing against your will and spamming, flaming, bumping, etc.?

I was thinking more punish than reward. Boobie (or booby  ) prizes are sometimes humorously coveted,
but it would be better if it as something nasty hence the word "forced" in my post,
in order to act as a deterrent to the actions you have just listed.
Maybe Nintendo would 'generously' donate a dead item form his collection. :D

I don't think even IamRed would want something from my dead collection!!! :D:D:D:D

They could easily throw the ahem...dead stuff...away, so it would be hard to 'force' anything on them.

After recent events I can assure that getting banned here is *not* taken lightly, it takes some serious effort to break the rules.

At *this* forum, that is. Other ones that just don't let you stick up for the minority 'cause you agree with 'em, (I won't name names, but it's not this one, this one's pretty cool), getting banned is a little easier.

it's good to know that mods are nice and do justice. But for a newbie, how would he know that when a number of other forums do as they please? have banning announced is good because, its informative, and its showing what mods tolerate and not, and reveals scammers etc..
