Really worried about this!!!

    My new website has just been indexed by google for all its pages yesterday.When I searched for a keyword,I found my website to be at the 7th position(great!)
    But today for the same keyword,my site dosent even come in the top 500 results.Whats happening?I use google sitemaps and had submitted a sitemap containing links for some new extra pages yesterday and it has been downloaded by google today.Is this causing any trouble in my search results?
    Anyway please help

    If your site just got indexed, I wouldn't worry too much. It's probably just some Google fluctuations.

    It takes a few days for a site to be fully indexed across all datacenters.

    If your site's new, you should wait for some days before panicking.
    But then there's a sandbox also...

    sandbox, prepare your time plan to deal with up to one year on this before you see good results. That is if you are in a saturated subject.

    You should have around 5 sites on the go. 2 steps forward one back. Let them age, do some work, let sit. come back, put another log on the fire.

    Data centers:
    Google has many, many computer banks located in multiple places across the country and the world. These take time to get updated (weeks) so sometimes when you search, you'll get sent to a computer bank where your site has been updated. Other times you'll be sent to one where it hasn't yet. This all depends on where you live and which data centers have been updated.

    As for when you should get stable results - it'll probably stabilize (mostly) in a few weeks.
