REALLY weird problem

    Okay, so I am running a query against an expressionengine database and getting an error:
    however, if I copy this database to local and test, runs just fine.

    From the live server:
    Server version: 5.0.27-log
    MySQL client version: 5.0.27

    From local:
    MySQL - 4.1.15-log
    MySQL client version: 4.1.15


    I am jumping to the assumption that it's a bug... but, can anyone shed some light on this? Really weird!
