I have a client, we are doing a site of about 20 pages in html. He wants a "news" area on his front page where he can enter bits of news and when he goes on vacation so his clients know. I dont' want to update it myself, and he doesn't want to have to FTP updated pages to the site. So what I need is the simplest php CMS on the planet: just a single admin page for him to write text into a box; the text in the box gets written to a database, and then when an internet user views the front page, the client's "news" section gets pulled from the database and appears in the front page. Now, I know this would be very simple to code, I am just wondering if there is a reliable script that's open source out there somewhere.
