Really FREE hosting, interested ?

I am considering to offer free hosting for first 500-1500 users(sites), or in other words to use one of my servers that are connected buth still didn't decided what to do. So, I want your opinions and if this sounds interesting to you to tell me, and also, what are your suggestions. So, I am not providing right now in this moment, but if there is interested people I will do that.

HOSTING PLATFORM would be something like:

* Linux OS (didn't jet decided which distribution, but it would be for surre Linux)
* FTP access
* simple URL in subdomain format (YourSite.MyHosting.com)
* or you can use your own TLD (or both, whatever)
* not allowed adult, gambling, terrorism, spam etc... (this would be really rigorously, especially fight against SPAM)


HOSTING PACKAGE(S)


* 100 Mb space
* unlimited bandwich
* LxAdmin/cPanel (you could choose one of those)
* unlimited subdomains
* unlimited mail accounts
* no POP UPs
* Some of packages with a lot of pre installed PHP applications (forums, blogs,etc...)
* 5 mySQL databases
* just very small frame on the top of every page(in frame, so that will not have any influence on your content), where would I post some banners to advertise my advertiser.


There is a lot more details, but this is basically just to get picture what I am talking about. So, please tell me your opinion and are you interested for offer like this is, and also give me your comments what is ok, and what do you think that I need to improve in this free package(s) to be great. thanks to everyone

 

I don't think you can offer unlimited bandwidth but good luck on advertising your site.

 

If you are going to put a banner, it really beats the whole point of free hosting...Have a look at freehostia or justfree..who are giving everything free...offer something like that and I think you should get more people..

 

well that is the only condition, that wouldn't be banner to one site, there would be rotation of about 30 banners (468x60) so height of that top frame would be 60 px.

Looks good mate, but I wouldn't say use an iframe for the banner... a simple, small contextual ad that is related to your users' website would be much better and appealing!

I would be interested, but I would not want to banner at the top of the page. I would only want one at the bottom.

one advise: just consider putting one test link with "effective text" so that people might consider you to host their next domain

You can put ads or adsense in members control panel so your members can help you to pay for your budget
