Hi, I just wrote a blog post on my site and noticed that within an hour of it being posted Google had already indexed the webpage: Talk about really fast indexing! The interesting thing about it is I haven't subscribed to any bookmarking or other services so no one would be linking to that page. What's the secret? Links from authority sites! Cheers .... Gerald.
Well an example would be if you have a blog about iPods, get a link from Apple.com or a website which Apple.com links to. Not easy to do, but guaranteed to get your site indexed fast and listed at the top of search results.
All my self hosted Word Press blogs get indexed that quick. I think it has something to do with the built in ping service. I was surprised the first couple of times because my blogspot blogs never were indexed that fast.
I have one PR3, one PR2 and one with PR0. All three index almost instantly. My blog spot blogs range from PR2-Pr3 and they do not normally index the first day.
