    Hi,
What do you think of reality / virtual games like second life for example?
Is this interesting or just a lost of time?

Another nice one is virtualtreasuremap.com! it has a virtual part ( the online treasure map ) but the treasure case is real and burried somewhere on earth...

Is there a future for this kind of reality concepts? What do you think of it?

    regards

I think one day a very big virtual reality game will take over all these online games.... A game where you are playing and you can make real money or something.... Someone will come change around the concept of the online gaming forever.... If I had enough money one day I would probably do it. :)

I hate second life. IMO it sucks.
But I think it'll be useful to the extent that in 5 years time there will be a similar, MUCH BETTER game which won't have existed if second life hadn't sparked off the "reality games" trend.

I think the best time for a human being to live is in our years..
We have seen everything from black and white video games.. to full super 3D..
Wonder what the next step will be... :)

Second Life is very interesting. But, it is not a game. You are you and all people you encounter are real. It is simply a virtual world. It has no built in threats, goals, skills to acquire, and so forth. There are no levels to progress through.

You can get a job, own a house, get a mate, have a pet, start a business. You can shop clothes, a new body type and better working body parts, gamble, buy a virtual drink and have a virtual cigar. You can go dancing, walk through a park, or do somewhere to meditate, and listen to music. There are sometimes live concerts, poetry readings, fashion shows, and conferences. In fact, I have heard some global companies use Second Life to have virtual employee conferences. Complete with coffee breaks.

For my part, I cannot separate my virtual from my real self. I cannot do or say things in Second Life that I would not be willing to do in this life.

Maybe some other people like playing this kind of game like the Second Life.
I haven't played this game, but to me it is just a waste of time. if other people love playing this game
then i'll just respect them about that.. it's still good having good times by yourself with your real friend in
real world than having fun on a virtual game. peace guys :)

Reality games are going to go a long way.. i believe they are still in infancy stage. Waiting for the masses to upgrade their computers before being more interactive and more involving.
