Real unemployment rate: 17.5% Does that sound like an economic growth? Why not face the problem of America right now the rising jobless rate and instead of focusing on banks start focusing on creating jobs. Too many big boys in the economy can do too powerfull to control the economy of the country, and if they get in the wrong side this type of a recession may happen. The economy will be on the recovery path as soon as this government starts working on job creation. Cut on military expenses as well. And may be bring to justice those who put America's soldiers in Iraq. That useles war costs probably well over $1.5 TRILLION!
True! They should bring to justice every last senator and representative who voted for it! Its time we put to bed that kind of fiscal irresponsibility and pass our health care bill! For a mere 900 billion* we can provide health insurance to 10 million people who don't currently have it. Additionally, we will kill off the evil profiteers who operate these private health care companies at the same time! *900 billion not including 250 billion for medicare docs. Cost estimation based on 6 years of expenses only. Actual 10 year expense estimated to be in excess of 2.5 trillion dollars.
Absolutely, why waste money on death and destruction (to only get your asses kicked) when people in your own country need healthcare. Only an idiot thinks buying weapons and creating destruction is more important that the citizens.
Yes, I preferred food/plasters/medicine rather than my daddy buying petrol (gas for Americans) to throw petrol bombs through his perceived enemies window or to futher our goals into making everyone watch Rainbow It is good how American's recognize simple things like this, it's not "Country first" but rather "American's first" or it should be most Americans agreed.
~ The incursion was unnecessary but I believe every inch of Iraq fell to the invaders. ------ ~ Economic growth does not necessarily depend on full employment - in the early stages of recovery. The recovery once underway would be then the time to build employment and is what the Obama Administration definitely should be working on now or kiss his ass goodbye.
Maybe but the nation didn't buy John McCains brand of it. It did fall, but we are still theere so the objectives are not yet complete and never will be, and they are getting their asses kicked trying to do whatever their objectives are. Also there's the cost of the wars, in that aspect they are getting their asses kicked too. Massive cost in lives and money for what?
So you are implying Americans don't put country first because McCain used that as his campaign slogan and lost the election? I just want to say your representation of the Palestinian side of that conflict explains a lot to me. Have you ever tried to fashion cooking utensils from hardened feces?
You know perfectly well what I mean. Americans don't want the "country first" brand of John McCain, under his brand or guise anything is possible, Americans had 8 years under Bush and wanted a "change" from the Republicans "country first" BS to the version purported by John McCain.
LMAO. Dude, stick with Palestinian politics. Trying to apply your very screwed up sense of morality and what motivates people to American politics is only going to leave you sounding more foolish than you already do. I know you are aware that Mr. Obama is sending just as much if not more military and financial aide to Israel as George W. Bush and it is a non-issue for the American people. Obama's numbers are sliding right now for two reasons only. 1) The economy and the impact of his health care bill on said economy. 2) Failure to make a decision on a quantity of additional troops to send to Afghanistan. On issue #2, the less important of the two by far, there are as many in America who want him to throw everything but the kitchen sink at it as there are who want to pull out and save the money. Mind you, the idea that we are "getting our asses kicked" does not play into the equation at all. Its common knowledge 16 or more enemy combatants die for every lost NATO soldier. It will boil down to a question of whether we, as a nation, feel the effort will yield a functioning government that will not be a haven for terrorists after all the blood and treasure have been spent. Currently, the only alternative solution proposed by the Vice President is to withdraw combat troops and go to a purely aerial bombing strategy, which will unquestionably kill more civilians. I suppose people like you would get out in the streets and dance with joy if such a decision were made, though I'm guessing the Afghan people would be horrified if they had something higher than a 2nd grade education.
Yet, you talk about recession, no jobs and debt etc I don't intend to go down your path of drivel, I'm not interested. Obama like all presidents and leaders has good and bad points, I wouldn't spend my time fawning over a president, I'm pleased he won though. That's good at least it'll stop the terrorism, let me know when your war of infinity ends. Cheering for death is your job your a republican. I believe it's more important for American taxes to be spent on US citizens, sort out your own problems such as healthcare, poverty, that's my only point. It should be a pretty universal position. It's like you flush money down the toilet after you get paid from working at McDonalds and refuse to buy your family food or a better future and complain when they ask for food "oh my god! food! do you realize we have no money! I can afford a war but not food!". Illogical to me.
To the contrary. You made a statement about the views of Americans and use the election and campaign slogans as a context. You obviously care enough to try and use it as part of your insane argument. I simply provided information to the uninformed(you). Are you referring to the Palestinian conflict, 60 years and still going? Yeh, I thought so. Palestinians cheering the 911 attacks Palestinians cheering the London Train Station Bombing Say its not so! You guys spend all the aide money sent to your shit hole on weapons to launch at Israel. Your hypocrisy knows no limits.
Crud, now I can't stop laughing. I have never seen someone getting owned in a thread and keep trying only to get, how do you say, pwnd? by a simple oooga booga, since basically the one getting owned can't stay near the subject matter or even understand how running from ones ignorance rather than learning never helps. There is only one direction he hasn't steered this thread to, but I will leave him to do that alone.
I agree that job creation should be the #1 priority. I hope that the Obama admin/Democratic congress produces a strong jobs bill soon. I also agree that continuing these useless wars makes absolutely no sense. We are wasting billions of dollars every month and many soldiers lives. It's crazy. End these wars!
More jobs should not be mindlessly created, they need to be earned. Go to any particular slums of any big city and you'll notice those unmotivated workers with little experience, ability, or reliability for that matter. I on the other hand, have a full page resume with an amazing list of abilities and past work experiences (at the age of 16, no less). I earn the money I get from work. People who do not take the care to volunteer, learn, or increase their mindset do not deserve a job for doing nothing. Jobs should be earned, not created. If all you can do is help operate a McDonalds, then by all means that's all you'll ever do -- and the moment that McDonalds gets their hands on a person with astoundingly superior ability, you are expected to catch up or get replaced.
Doing nothing I don't consider a job creation. Something has to be done, to get this train-the economy moving foreword.
