Real traffic vs. fake traffic

I see a lot of people selling traffic services but most of them are SHADY.

The question is HOW DO YOU DETERMINE REAL TRAFFIC?

Most people just add pictures and say, yes this is actual proof of traffic, but how do we know that they didn't alter the images just to defraud people? A link to your website statistics page would be HELPFUL to determine REAL TRAFFIC. But most people don't give that info out, especially when you can just give a URL.

Also, how do we know that they're not sending FAKE HITS to the site to generate fake traffic to sell to people?

There are people who pay for auto surf programs that give FAKE TRAFFIC.

People viewing your page for 10 - 30 seconds does NOT qualify as traffic, or legitimate traffic. Especially when you can have your computer on AUTO PILOT like most of these SCAMMERS.

There are some that use proxies to view their sites... this is also generating FAKE traffic.

    WE NEED REAL TRAFFIC...

Now, is there anyone here who have REAL TRAFFIC TO SELL?

We have some sites that we need to promote...

    :D

Real traffic comes from ranking high for relevant keywords in the search engines or from good advertising placed on relevant sites. If you see lots of short-term visits or a majority of visitors coming from a market that is not your main focus (example India) then you can assume the traffic is poor quality. If you have a much lower percentage of conversions then that is also a warning sign.
