There is another thread about webstats but Is there web stats with real time reporting? meaning you can watch it with your eyes? and it updates every second?
Maby, I have never seen it. It would require a lot of resources to constantly be updating a database like that and outputting it at the same time.
whoisonline does something very comparable it loads a predefined nunmber of last access_log lines and displays the data in a human readable format page can be reloaded as needed - hence low resource usage I used the tool since many years and am nvery happy with its result. the delay from real visits and displayed results is just about 1-2 minutes later - still nearly real time. else to really scroll traffic in real time on Linux server use via SSH tail -f /var/log/apache2/access_log
Hello, You might be interested by ApacheTOP http://www.webta.org/projects/apachetop/ You can use that to tail apache access log files and view httpd accesses in the style of UNIX 'top' Here is a little screenshot for you http://download.freshmeat.net/screenshots/41294.png Usage is quite simple: "apachetop -f path/to/your/access_log" apachetop --help for more info It does not output pretty graphs but does the trick for a nice real time statistics tool. I hope this helps
You don't need to understand long tail keywords if you just want to use HitTail for its real-time hit monitoring capabilities.
I've been looking for a live stats thing too. Nothing too complicated, just who's on the site, and what they're doing. Something along the lines of osCommerce's "Who's Online" page.
HitTail is definitely the real-time stats monitor you're looking for, but it de-dupes for uniques before it displays. So every line in under the Search Hits tab represents one and only one user. It makes it easy to get a real feel for the number of people on your site, and how they're getting there. For zumo, forget about the traffic-building aspect. Plenty of people use it just for being real-time web logs. Over time, you get to understand why traffic from diverse sources is important, and how it plays into having a healthy site in the long run. And last point, for Kerosene, we've given thought to a simple "who's online now" feature, but no one has asked for it. If you wanted to hop over to our forums and bring it up, that's how things are brought up in product development meetings. Maybe we could make the industry's first real-time weblog PLUS a real-time who's where now. Imagine watching them jump from page to page as you just sit there. Hmmmmm.
i dont know of any myself but would like to know of any if they free cant do with paying for anymore things of the internet that dont work lol
