Real-time streaming video

I intended to make an e-learning website. The main feature is that the learner can see a video of the lecture real-time via a remote web camera. Anyone know somethings about that technology?
Sorry if this topic is not really about PHP. But I like to program in PHP so the tech's API with PHP is preferred!

I am afraid you cannot do it in PHP.

You will need to get FlashMediaServer (FMS), there is free version for developers and you will need Adobe Flash as well.

When you setup your FMS you have to write two applications in flash broadcaster and reciver those two will communicate via server and you will be able to see streaming video.

I know it is quite short post but really it is very easy to do.

go to http://streamingbase.com/ and signup for free for a trial account. They have 2 apps that you can use for e learning - video matrix and video conference.
The install is in the same way as for google adesense. They give you a code you paste into your page. That code brings the flash app into your site.Videos are uploaded in their back office.
