    Absolutely they are valuable, that's why they are all taken. I wouldn't mind owning the 1st one you got mentioned there, John.com, I think I read somewhere it sold for $xxx,xxx or so.

    It depends on the name . If its a famous one then its valuable .

    Well, something that is a very commen name like John, Bob, Mike, Sam, etc. will be quite valuable. Something that is unpopular & extremely few people will have that that name, will not. For eg. tarah.info & angla.info, which is available.
