Real Estate Webmaster Section

Shawn I would like to ask if you would consider placing a section on the forum for people involved in real estate. I am sure we have a lot of people here that in some way are involved in real estate. Whether it be as a Seo, webmaster, programmer or agent that is handling their own website.

Real estate is a rapid growing industry on the internet and I believe as good as this forum is, you could attract A Lot more people to the forum with this type of section.

Sections could include.

1.Increasing Conversion
2.Website Usability
3. Issues related to google and real estate.
4. Real Estate link development and management.

These are just a few to mention and I am sure you could think of many more.

 

Well maybe its my lack of seo experience, but I see all those things being issues right now within the real estate industry and their websites.

I personally believe using google as an example, that they have a different algo for real estate than any other internet business type website and what may work for say a website that sells widgets may not work for a real estate website. No I dont have proof just a feeling..lol.

It was worth a shot to ask since I know we have some real estate people on the forum here and I know of another forum that I personally dont care for but attracts a lot of users because of the real estate topics. Thanks for even replying though, cause I knew what the answer was going to be before I even ask..lol but it was woirth a shot.

I don't know if you've been there before but you might take a look at Real Estate Webmasters.

As resalebroker mentions, Real Estate Webmasters forum and directory is the best place to find what you're after. It's true that RE is a growing inet sector, but I'd think it was too focused for this forum.

You'll also find resources specific to your needs at REWM that you won't find here.

I do agree that keeping the RE outside this forum is a good idea.

Thanks, I am not a realtor but many of our clients are. I want this to become the real estate forum out there. Whoever has suggestions, please make them now!

I have no desire in getting too involved other than moderating as needed and participating in the webmaster section of course.

The rest is all up to whatever realtors want and need.
