I will try to one of my site this experiment, i really want to catch some position..

 

One of my sites has PR 3 with over 6500 backlinks. The pagerank hasn't increased in months but the number of backlinks has increased. I thought increasing the number of backlinks would automatically sends your PR up. Am I wrong?

 

Your PR is zero because you have no out bound links. Sites with no outbound links are treated as linking to everyone on the net. That bleads all of your PR. On top of that Authority websites naturally have links out to a few Hubs therefore your site looks completely unnatural. The idea that you should not have links going out from your site is a huge misconception about how page rank works.

If you are paying for these links the decrease from PR 4 to PR 0 is most likely because you were penalized.

I suggest link out to major Authority websites that are related to your niche and you will most likely see your page rank rise.

 

You are not wrong you just do not understand PR. Page Rank is based on a logrithmic scale. Having a PR of 2 means you have 10 times the PR. This is why you are not seeing noticeable increases in your PR. A PR of 3 to a PR of 4 is a huge amount of link juice.

Maybe you right bud there are alot of 'fake' pagerank links that dont work.
Have tryd some PR6 websites bud dont work for me..

Does it seem to matter for the effect if the PR is high, but the Alexa ranking is low? Does the Alexa make a difference?
