I linked a decent high PR page to few of my websites and here is the effect I have seen Instant Indexing of My Websites Within a few seconds of content being added. Decent Rankings in Page 1 and Page 2 for lots of keywords. The PR of that page is due to over 2600 backlinks.
That is good to know. It shows that quality in links is also important, PR6/7 with 2600 back links. I have sites with over 6,000 back links that are only PR2.
It is good to know. However, I suggest you get rid of that green grinning icon. It's damn the worst feature in DP to date as far as I know. I hate to see dumb looking emoticons. hehe.
I wish, it was the same for me. I have 2 PR7, 18+ PR6 links, 30+ PR5 links, 100+ PR4 links, lost count of PR3's and other, total backlinks 52,000+ and the End Result : PR0(It was PR4 in April08); website launched on Feb08. There is not even a single outgoing link from my damn site. It was in page1 for few days and now SERPS drop 50 position every week. My backlinks grow without me doing any linkbuilding these days too
PR is oftentimes misunderstood. For example, the home page of the site giving the link may be a PR7, however the page your link is located on may be a PR0, therefore, you get no benefit. The other issue is most sites have no follow in place. That means the backlink will count but no PR juice flows through to you. These are a just a couple of factors. There are others. Pat
LOL, did you really say "Within a few seconds of content being added" - I find this hard to believe... maybe hours and I do agree with that, but... seconds, lol... friggin hilarious.
I wouldn't say there is no benefit to getting a PR0 link from a website with a homepage of PR7. Just because a page is PR0, it does not mean it is not helping you. PR0 is just the toolbar PR. Google's actual PR is more likely a 100 point system, instead of just 10 point. Any link from a PR7 site still looks good to the search engines. It just wouldn't carry as much weight as a link on the actual PR7 page.
After I make a post and check it on Google its there INDEXED !! Its shows 1 minute ago for that particular post.
I've seen Google index content almost instantly but mainly on very high traffic, established blog and news sites that change content very frequently.
A backlink from PR6 or PR7 pages and surely help. Especially if the backlink if coming from a relevant page.
