Honestly, I think the only people who ever search google for life insurance or this meso word that I can't spell are the webmasters looking for content and link exchanges, your ctr probably sucks a big time.

I never got paid as they claim about the high paying keywords. Actually $3.40 (approx) was the highest I ever got, but normally is much less from what they say, but over all I am OK.

Exactly. It's better if you choose your favourite topic and than build a good site on it. No point in making a 5 page meso site :) You will not get any clicks and than it will compel you for click frauds and than you will get ban.

The highest keyword that I've found and manage to actually used was going for $83/click on Overture. Made me really wish I had an overture feed account :( Google was paying me about $25 per click when the site was ranking.

There are regionally targeted keywords that are more than $25 - but also remember overture shows what the advertiser is bidding, not what you will get paid (Yahoo takes their cut). You also have to check what the #2 spot is bidding as that is a better indication. If someone is bidding $100 and the #2 is $25, the advertiser isn't going to pay $100, but in the $25 range.

Generally, the higher paying the keyword, the more competition - which can make it very hard to get traffic. You might be better off in targeting a lower paying keyword where you have a much better chance of getting traffic for. A keyword that pays $20 isn't any good if you never get any traffic.

I have a site that has an average click payout of over $10, but do much better with a keyword that pays in the $3 range because it gets a lot more traffic/clicks. A site with a payout of 50 cents can do much better than a keyword paying $10. Don't get hung up on what the keyword pays - that's a mistake many people make.

I have sites on medical keywords, with lots of great content. I average 40 cents a click, even for 'mesothelioma' ads.
I have webmaster pages, average is 25 cents per click. I saw an overture bid of $25.00 for an ad on jewelry, this same ad averages me 75 cents per click on my site.

Each site pays differently for the same ads, keywords etc, there are so many factors from EPC, CPM, YPNs own type of smart pricing etc.....
