I just checked out my site using a backlink checker and Yahoo has 2,347 backlinks and Google only has 9. How is that? How do I improve? I know what I am doing (for the most part), but this has me stumped. My indexed pages are Google 230 and Yahoo 387. Is the checker messed up? This SEO tool is not mine I just use this one. Questions: 1 - Why only 9 backlinks with Google? I have spent hours building backlinks and they work with Yahoo. Is it because the sites where my backlinks are at are not indexed by Google or something? 2 - Could the backlink checker be messed up? 3 - What can I do to purposely go out and make backlinks that Google can see? 4 - Will this affect my Page Rank? Or do backlinks not even matter anymore? If that is the case then my whole theory on SEO is out the window. Thanks in advance.
