Hello, This post is in regards to the offers that have ended in the BST section. The offers which have already been bought by the buyers should not come up as sticky in the sub forum. Although the sold offers are made little transparent, I did notice some of the offers completed sticky in the sub forum as ended. My suggestion is that the moment the auction has ended, it should never come bake at the sticky section of the sub forum during its ending time. Moreover, many users do not mark as sold/ End once they get buyers for their services. This can lead to PM's to the service providers by the buyers unnecessarily. DP rocks by the way...
They're not supposed to post to say something's ended. They can request thread closure if they want to (but they don't have to -- if they want to let the PMs continue that's up to them, but they might prefer to leave it open until their deal partner leaves feedback). As for them being stickied, that's a premium user feature that happens automatically based on the end time they've chosen, so I'll leave that part for Shawn to respond to.
Exactly the suggestion was to incorporate some changes so that premium users features of closed deal threads do not stick. And regarding closing of threads, if product/service is over, the user can click "Mark as sold" link and that get closed automatically. That is what I suggest. I hope Shawn takes a look into this. It would make this forum more professional !
That's why I said we have to leave that aspect to Shawn. As for them being able to close their own threads, probably not going to happen. It's been discussed numerous times. The problem is that people will close the threads to avoid having people leave negative feedback when a deal doesn't go well. We allow users here to leave feedback. They might already close automatically after time (I seem to remember us discussing after 30 days or something similar), but immediate closure would be contrary to the feedback rules here.
