Ok this week I'm helping Squidlinks.com market there website. Squidlinks is: Squidlinks.com provides users with a powerful method to advertise their webpages, both on our site and on users' webpages throughout our community! A squidlink (square internet advertising link) is an image, 50 x 50 pixels, that provides a link to a webpage when clicked upon. It’s a fun way to discover some of the best places on the internet. Ok let's start the idea behind this project is great gives users a way to advertise there site for free which I think is what most webmaster's are looking for. The way I would market this is to visit webmaster forums and post about marketing with link to your site in signature. Also setup a Myspace account called Squid links and add as many friends as you can promote the site that way as squidlinks is a social networking style site also and I think it would appeal to myspace users. Start an Adbrite campaign targetting social networking and webmaster sites , as Adbrite is a good way to get decent paid traffic at a cheap price. Write a one page article about using squid links to promote your site and submit it as many article directories as possible , that way you should start seeing a fair bit of traffic coming from that as people try to use your site to promote their's. Submit your site to as many social networking style sites as possible this is a quick way to bring in intial traffic. Well I've leave it at that for today as thats a fair bit to get through, and we will revisit site in a month.
