    Hi

Just ran one of our websites through website.grader.com and it came back with

    Readability Level: College Undergraduate

This score measures the approximate level of education necessary to read and understand the web page content. In most cases, the content should be made to be simple so that a majority of the target audience can understand it.

What is it actually saying? Is it telling me that the content is too complicated and should be made easier? Or is it saying that the content is well written?

Another of our websites comes back with Secondary Level/High School. Again, does this mean that it isn't well written? or is it better written than the above one because more people can understand it?

This website itself says that "This score measures the approximate level of education necessary to read and understand the web page content. In most cases, the content should be made to be simple so that a majority of the target audience can understand it."

This simply means, the content on your website is not written for everybody, as it is quite complex and most of the visitors will not be able to understand it...:)

OK, so a competitors site i tested came back with Advanced / Doctoral Degree. Would you say that in this respect they have written their site too technical for the general public?
Usually if someone says i wrote to the standards of Advanced / Doctoral Degree i would take that as a good thing. Thats what is confusing me slightly. It seems the lower the level reported the better.
