I'm wondering if anyone has read any good books lately that they would like to share? I'm not much of a book reader but I do try to read at least a few books a year.

My most recent book was Pale Blue Dot by one of my personal heros the late, great astronomer Carl Sagan. I really admire everything Carl Sagan did for the world, his ideas and contributions to science will live on for generations IMO. I posted a video of Carl Sagan narating Pale Blue Dot, take a look here. Truely Beautiful Words.

Pale Blue Dot is a wonderful book that is a sequel to Cosmos. It is a tribute to space exploration, and travel. The book is very informative about some of our greates finds and accomlishments and the mysteries of universe. It takes you one a journey through our own solar system and history in an intriguing, entertianing, poetic way:) I really liked this book, alot!

Some of my other recent reads that I enjoyed are:
The Celestine Prophecies by James Redfield -- I HIGHLY RECCOMEND THIS
The Tenth Insight by James Redfield
Moon Hunters by Jeffrey Klugger -- Great Read
The Theory Of Everything by Stephen W. Hawking

What have you read lately? Any reccomendations?

I'll have to check that book out sometime. Sounds like a good read.

I guess alot of people nowdays don't read actual books anymore. Magazines, Internet Articles, Newspapers and Ebooks. I read alot of those too but I do try to squeeze in a few real books from time to time.

I Am America (And So Can You!) By Stephen Colbert. Any fan of Colbert's would find it a good read. Others...not so much. :p

Hahah...It's kind of like a blog but on pieces of paper cut into rectangles and stacked between to thick peices of heavy paper.. LMAO, were not that far off really.

I started to read Rich Dad, Poor Dad but didn't finish the book. I guess I got bored half way through..

I read Angles and Demons which I think is a sort of sequal and I saw the Da Vinci Code movie and thought it was pretty good.

Come on ya'll, there have to be some book readers here on DP that have an inspiring book to share?

Anyone ride the subway to and from work?? That is what got me started reading when I was in Boston, and I kept the habbit when I moved back home to MO.

OK, back to the books.. Oprah had some good recco's on her "favorite things" show. Does anyone ever go out and buy books that she reccomends?
