Reached PR2 - What Does it Mean?

Recently one of my sites have reached PR2.. what exactly does this mean? and how can I check which keywords make it to this rank?

 

It has nothing to do with ranking or keywords, it deals more with the quality of your backlinks.

 

I see.. so referring back to my other question, what exactly does this do for me in terms of ranking number 2?

 

Reached PR2 means traffic to your site has improved. you are getting many visitors to your sites. thats the maning of Page Rank(PR)

 

It shows that you have good amount of traffic

 

You are not ranking #2, and it does not mean you are getting more traffic. It means that other sites are linking to you, and these other sites have page rank that they are passing along to you. You may be getting more traffic, but it is not a guarantee.

It is like reputation points that you can get here.

 

Keep in mind Google PR jumps around a lot lately. So in most cases PR means absolutely nothing. At best it is an indicator of what that page or site ranked several months ago. The current PR is only known to Google.

 

It means your website got page rank 2 and it is not directly linking to the ranking.

 

This is exactly what it doesn't mean.
Pagerank has nothing to do with traffic.

 

high PR does not mean high traffic, you need to do more thing like link developement

 

This just means that you have some inbound links. I think it is more important to focus on the ranking rather than PR.
