Reached and Exceeded Budget??? How to avoid this???

Discussion in 'Google AdWords' started by prose33, Mar 21, 2008.

Everytime I try to set up a new ad, it always says that I have Reached and Exceeded Budget. Is there a way around this? Is this a way Google flags accounts now? Any info would be much appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Call me nuts, but in my experience adwords error messages do not always match the real reason. Sometimes they just dont' want to tell you the real reason, but I'll tell you what I've experienced. On long weekends, such as this one, they don't like to have too many new campaigns to review on Monday or Tuesday of the next week. So instead of announcing, "Please don't start any campaigns for the next couple days as we're lazy asses and dont' want a backlog of work to start our workweek", they throw out random error messages that make zero sense.

I know this is "tin foil hat" stuff, but that's been my experience and I've noticed this trend over the years.

What do you mean by "long weekends"?

This is the first time I'm having this probelm, and I'm not sure I understand what "campaign reviews" your'e talking about - for the last month I've opened campaigns every few days, on weekends as well, and they would start running automatically in a few minutes, without any need for a "review"...

So this simply doesn't make any sense - if your'e suggesting that the adwords team are actually reviewing each campagin, and only upon their decision it would go on air....

Every new campaign is reviewed. They are launched within 15 minutes or so but sit in a queue, pending review.
