I was just checking news section and found appx. 5000 newspapers published this recent news
    http://news.google.co.in/news?ned=us&ncl=1140103175&hl=en&topic=h

and same article is atleast published in 95000 blogs/website ..

so typically 1 international story is rewritten 100000 times...

So dont you think its getting more and more difficult to make money from content (if impossible) ?

I don't understand the connection you are trying to make. So a story gets repeated 100,000 times. What does that have to do with making money from content?

I am concerned about competition in content business , if a single article is published 100000 times, just imagine millions/billions of pages being posted on internet every second , how will any individual make money from his website/blog with few hundred articles ?

The internet is very fragmented. Reader A may go to website A...and not even know that websites B to Z even exist.

As a website owner, your job is simply to get targeted traffic to your website and be sure that it can convert that traffic into dollars.

    Ditto.

I do consulting in dating and marketing. Those markets are so saturated, it ain't even funny, brother.

Look at message boards. They are a dime a dozen, and look at how well DigitalPoint is doing.

    Read tuksdrr's post again.

    Don't worry about it!

news section of google doesn;t have unique contents. those are pretty much just news and press releases that are published on practically all news and PR sites. those are not really content business. if you have a site with unique content and have visitors, you can make money. just depends on how much traffic you have.

I agree, it doesn't matter if the content has been hashed over a billion times, as long as the people looking for it haven't seen any of that, and get to your site, and you convince them, then you win. No problem.

You're talking about news content (as Luq said). You're far more likely to make money with unique, evergreen content (content that doesn't get "old" quickly, like how-to articles for example).

Content publishing will still make you loads of money. Remember a few keys: unique, quality and keyword-dense content will stick on the search engines for a long long time. ;)
